Aim:

To oversee all research activities of CSRS-AP with special emphasis on soliciting research proposals for basic and clinical research.

Vision:

The committee will encourage research activities by soliciting research proposals for basic and clinical research, recommending funding for research projects with cooperation with treasurer, providing list of research papers and awards to prize/ fellowship committee, and developing/recommending outcome measures for clinical research of the cervical spine. The overall research activity is intended to improve the safety and outcomes of health care for the cervical spine.

Plan:

The Committee will attempt to make basic and clinical research award with cooperation with prize/ fellowship committee and annual meeting committee concerning research award. To solicit research proposals, funding for research project is necessary. At first, cooperation with treasurer is necessary for research funding. In the future, a separate research fund will be necessary. The committee will develop and implement fund raising for CSRS-AP research. To improve the safety and outcomes of health care for the cervical spine, the committee will develop and or recommend outcome measures for clinical researches of the cervical spine.
